Cameras
 We
use 3-chip Sony VX2100 digital mini-dv camcorders. These
are great cameras for a number of reasons. Their small size
allows us to be discreet and unobtrusive while providing
excellent performance in low light environments. The good
news for you is that there is no need for bulky bright lights.
Our third, back-up camera is also a small Sony digital camcorder
that has served us well.
Why use 3-chip digital instead of other regular digital
video cameras? You won't believe the difference in not only
sharpness of the image but the trueness of color.This particular
model offers the brightest video results of all Sony mini-dv
camcorders. Right now this (3-chip digital technology) is
the dilineating mark between professional and consumer video
cameras.
We have recently added the use of
a Glidecam. The Glidecam gives the viewer the feeling that
he or she is right in the action on the dance floor or walking
through the front doors of the church. It serves as a motion
stabilizer and eliminates bobbles typically associated with
regular handheld shots. The results are fluid shots from
a more intimate perspective.
 Ask
about high definition coverage, available at an
additional fee to our regular package rate. We shoot our
High Definition (HD) footage on Sony's HDR-FX1 HDV 1080i
Videocamera. We will deliver your Wedding Video DVD on standard
DVDs and provide HD DVDs when available.
Mics
We use professional UHF cordless mics.
Attached to the groom, our mic records clear vocals yet
is virtually invisible. We also use a portable compact flash
digital recorder which, plugged into the sound board at
your ceremony and reception, records audio from all microphone
inputs (such as the pastor, readers, and soloists).
Tripods
We use fluid-head tri-pods so no jerky movements as we track
movement from side to side or up and down.
Editing System
We edit on Avid Pro, a non-linear computer editing system.
Avid editing systems are the industry standard in Hollywood
for television, sports, and film. In fact, "[they]
were used in the creation of every film nominated in the
Best Picture, Directing, Film Editing, Sound Editing, Sound
Mixing, Visual Effects, and Best Animated Feature categories

Nathan's favorite feature is the
ability to see real-time effects (instead of pausing to
wait for the computer to render them) which allows us to
be as efficient as possible in our editing and keep our
prices for our post-production work as low as possible.
Special effects are not difficult to incorporate, though
we tend to avoid trendy effects that may date projects.
If you want the use of slow motion, black and white or sepia
tones, these are not difficult effects for us to incorporate
if this is what you want for portions of your edited highlights
video.
We will spend about 40 hours editing your video.
